Entrepreneurship Development Center

EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Center, a Section 25 company hosted by the National Chemical Laboratory – NCL, Pune) is a technology business incubator, supported and recognized by the Department of Science & Technology – National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (DST-NSTEDB). In addition to nurturing technology enterprises, EDC also seeks to nucleate technology start-ups, via its Lab2Mkt program for technology commercialization.


National Chemical Laboratory

National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune, established in 1950, is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). CSIR-NCL is a science and knowledge based research, development and consulting organization. It is internationally known for its excellence in scientific research in chemistry and chemical engineering as well as for its outstanding track record of industrial research involving partnerships with industry from concept to commercialization.


Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC)

BIRAC is a new industry-academia interface and implements its mandate through a wide range of impact initiatives, be it providing access to risk capital through targeted funding, technology transfer, IP management and handholding schemes that help bring innovation excellence to the biotech firms and make them globally competitive. In its 1st year of existence, BIRAC has initiated several schemes, networks and platforms that help to bridge the existing gaps in the industry-academia Innovation research and facilitate novel, high quality affordable products development through cutting edge technologies. BIRAC has initiated partnerships with several national and global partners to collaborate and deliver the salient features of its mandate.
