Piyush Joshi
COO and Executive Director

Piyush brings with him an unique experience of commercializing technology via spin-off route. Piyush has more than 5 years of experience in mentoring and monitoring pre-incorporation stage projects (probable future start-ups) from material science and medical device domain on business planning, start-up incorporation and fund raising. Piyush holds bachelor’s degree in Polymer engineering from MIT, Pune. He has completed a post graduate diploma in patents law from NALSAR University of law, Hyderabad.

Ashish Lele, PhD
Director

Ashish is a Scientist at the National Chemical Laboratory Pune and is part of the Complex Fluids and Polymer Engineering Group. He obtained his Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering in 1993 from the University of Delaware. Ashish has been a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, U.K in the Department of Chemical Engineering. and a Visiting Scientist at I.S.I.T.V., Toulon, France. His research interests include rheology of complex fluids such as polymer solutions and melts, microphase separated systems and food products; molecular dynamics of entangled polymers, CFD of viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluids, development of rheological tools to study microstructure evolution during flow.

V Premnath, PhD

Premnath is currently the Head, NCL Innovations – the group within National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) charged with the responsibility of championing the cause of technology innovation within NCL. Premnath also provides leadership for the Intellectual Property Group at NCL – one of India’s leading IP management groups based out of research institutions. He holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He has also been a Chevening Technology Enterprise Fellow with the Centre for Scientific Enterprises, London Business School and Cambridge University, UK. He brings with him considerable experience in technology development and commercialization (two successfully commercialized families of biomedical products), working with start-up companies (in Cambridge-UK and India) and engaging with large corporations on research and consulting projects as project leader.
